Remembering the 343 fallen FDNY heroes of 9/11

As we approach the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, each day we will be adding brief biographies and pictures in honor of the 343 Fire Department of the City of New York firemen that gave their lives 22 years ago. “Everyone here will tell you he’s not a hero,” one FDNY survivor said, “everyone here will tell you he’s doing his job.” These men went into a burning building that many understood they would not be walking back out of, but they still went in and did their job.

If you would like to assist by providing additional images or information, please contact us.

I just found this wonderful tribute to our heroes of 911. It is one of my reasons for admiring firefighters as the best of the best. Today is 9-11-22 and I’m watching the tribute on television which I have watched every year since 911. Thank you for creating this site so we can see the faces of and learn about these wonderful heroes. After the commemorative service is over I will watch this firefighter tribute. God bless you and all firefighters everywhere. I will never forget.🇺🇸❤️🚒
