Front page: The Army Air Force has been conducting its own war games along the Atlantic coast, with American bombers being intercepted by pursuit planes. The Boeing B-17C crash happened at Duncan Field, which will be absorbed by neighboring Kelly Field (San Antonio, Texas) in 1942. The bomber was assigned to Albuquerque Army Air Base’s 38th Reconnaissance Squadron (Heavy), the same unit whose B-17s will find themselves under attack as they prepare to land at Hawaii on Dec. 7. Although the Wehrmacht is closing in on Moscow, Maj.
