Bad weather has destroyed five AT-6A Texan trainers during a training mission over New Mexico, killing four pilots (page 3). Aviation cadets Earl B. Fritz, Fay E. Book, Walter S. Beamer, and Charles B. Coats. Thomas A. Bohr bailed out and survived. The trainees were based at Luke Field near Phoenix, Ariz.
