The light cruiser USS Juneau was commissioned today. Five brothers — George, Francis, Joseph, Madison, and Albert — are assigned to the crew. The Sullivan brothers (pictured on page 2) are from Waterloo, Iowa… Page 20 reports that Col. Anthony J.D. Biddle Sr. is reporting for duty with the Marines. Biddle taught hand-to-hand combat during the first World War and advocated for boxing to be a part of recruit training.
