The death toll from an explosion at Norfolk Air Station yesterday has risen to 24. Today we learn that the blast was triggered by a vehicle moving a load of depth charges… Congressman James Van Zandt (R-Pa.) is resigning his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to return to the Navy (see page two). Van Zandt enlisted in 1917 and served two years before joining the Naval Reserve. He had served in both the Atlantic and Pacific for a brief period between 1941 and 42 and is now a lieutenant commander…
